Vision and Learning Lab is led by Dr. Li Cheng at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta. Our research centers around computer vision, machine learning, visual behavior analysis, biomedical image anlysis, and multimedia signal processing.

Congrats to Jun Zhou for his paper accepted by AAAI 2026. His paper, titled VPHO: Joint Visual-Physical Cue Learning and Aggregation for Hand-Object Pose Estimation, is among the first attempts to visually estimate pressure measure during hand object interactions.
